The Extreme Decibel Big Band's trombone section has been playing together for an
astonishing 30 years!
Doug "Work Release" Robinson has been the leader of the bone section since the
very beginning. Doug is a top call trombonist in the Phoenix area, and the EDBB is
proud and thankful to have his crisp sound leading the section.
Mr. Vince "Bootie" Wedge relocated from the frozen tundra of Alaska after hearing that
there might be an opening in the Decibel band, passed the audition, and the rest is
history. Vince is also active in AJEA, and is currently the director of bands at Red
Mountain High School in Mesa, Arizona.
John Wise is also an original "Extremer" and rounds out the section admirably. John is
also one of the finest jazz trombonists in the Valley, and has worked with numerous
national acts.
On the Big Horn, Richard Lillard has taken over where Fred left off, i.e. he needs no
microphone, and adds a robust bottom end to the bone section.
The trombone section is also complimented from time to time with numerous talented
musicians, including Mr. Kevin Hilditch, Matt Lennex and Bill Foy.
